FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What if I don't know my student id or password.?
You will find this information on your student's schedule and report card. If for some reason you don't have either, one of your student's teachers can provide the information you need or you may call 245-3803

When I click "Access Pinnacle Internet Viewer HERE" nothing happens?
You will need to temporarily disable any popup blockers installed on your system or always allow popups from our site.

What content will I be able to view?
Assignments and grades (class work) for the current semester, nine-week and semester averages, attendance for the current year.

What if we notice a grade inaccuracy?
Teachers are constantly upgrading their grade books, so this may be corrected almost immediately. No grade is final until the report card is printed. The grade on the report card is the grade that will be posted to the student transcript. If, however, you notice a grading error, please encourage your student to first speak with the teacher. If this does not resolve the issue, feel free to contact the teacher email regarding the problem.

Is PIV safe? In other words, could a student change his grade because of PIV?
PIV is absolutely safe. You are only viewing the results of a report. Teacher grade books are absolutely not accessible. People accessing PIV have no ability to do anything but view the reports. They do not have the security rights that would allow modifications to be made or saved. Each time you view a screen; a new report is generated and displayed. Also, at no time is a student name, ID or password displayed in order to protect the student's privacy.

What if I have problems accessing a computer from home?
If you do not have Internet access at home and are unable to find easy access elsewhere (e.g. neighbors, friends, work, library), Parents ONLY are able to privately access a computer in our school front office during school hours (7:30 - 3:00).

What does an "X" mean on my child's Class Grade Report?
This means that your child did not receive a grade for that particular assignment, due to an absence or special circumstance. It does NOT mean that it is a missing assignment for that student.

What do the grades under the "Report Card" report mean?
These grades are the students current average NOT their final grade.
